Solitary Bone Cyst in the Talus


Abstract
Solitary bone cyst commonly occurs is growing age, and at the juxta--epiphyseal region of the metapliysis of long bones such as femur, tibia and humerus and it is rarely seen in short tubular and flat bones.
The cause of .solitary bone cysts is,.coatroversal.
In this paper, a case of solitary bone cyst occurred in.the talus was reported. The case was a 1?-year-old high school girl. who complained of intermittent pain on the right ankle for two months. Toniogiaphy showed a well demarcated thumb. tip s¢¥uxd radioluescent cavity oz the posteromedial aspect of the right talus.
Radical curettage fotlowed>by. maasive chip bone graft vas performed. The finding at operation showed a cavity oocnpyn~ posterior orie~. fourth of the body of the talus
The wall of the vity was thin cortical lager of the bone and cartilage like paper aContent of the cavity was small amount of yellowtah~luid and tiny ,.amount of granulations attached -; to the wall. The diagnosis _was, confirmed wt~~-rbentgenologt~examiieatioa, .operative fiadmgs, and microscopic examination.
